Vahid was one of the victims killed during a massacre carried out by the Islamic Republic in January 2026. He died in Karaj. His body was among many displayed for identification at Behesht-e Sakineh Cemetery in Karaj on January 11, 2026. Due to the exceptionally high number of casualties from the massacre, there was a shortage of standard black body bags. Consequently, Vahid's body, like many others, was found wrapped in blankets and sacks.
وحید از جمله جانباختگانی بود که در کشتار انجامشده توسط جمهوری اسلامی در ژانویه ۲۰۲۶ در کرج کشته شد. پیکر او در میان اجساد بسیاری بود که در تاریخ ۱۱ ژانویه ۲۰۲۶ در آرامستان بهشت سکینه کرج برای شناسایی به نمایش گذاشته شده بودند. به دلیل تعداد بالای قربانیان این کشتار، با کمبود کیسههای مخصوص حمل جنازه مواجه شدند و به همین علت، پیکر وحید و بسیاری دیگر، در پتو و گونی پیچیده شده بود.
